Kickin' Ass was the first and last release of KMFDM 24/7, a series of 24 7 inch singles announced on KMFDM's 24th Anniversary, each limited to 250 copies. The KMFDM 24/7 series features tracks from the band's original 12" singles and classic album cuts released in 7" form on the first of every month in the order they were originally released for 24 months, starting on Feb 29, 2008 and culminating on Feb 01, 2010 with a brand new exclusive single.
The first Kickin Ass 24/7 7" was pressed on black vinyl and featured the classic red and white cover by Jr. Blackmale. The last 24/7 release was the very same version of Kickin' Ass pressed on red opaque vinyl with an alternate version of the original cover as the only differences. The red vinyl version was only available packaged inside the KMFDM 24/7 Deluxe Military Canvas Case designed to hold all the 24/7 releases.
