KGC

KGC (Konietzko, Garcia, Cifarelli) is the brain child of three of the most trail-blazing underground artists around: Dean Garcia the musical genius behind CURVE, known for his monolith guitars and layered production style, that envelope the listener with its tsunami of instrumentation, Sascha Konietzko of KMFDM, whose innovative and unorthodox approach toward production have garnered him with international acclaim as one of the foremost pioneers of industrial/ultra heavy beat and Lucia Cifarelli of KMFDM and DRILL, whose vocal and lyrical talents go from provocative to menacing in the beat of a rivet-head lovelorn heart. The three met by chance through a mutual fan. However unlikely it sounds, that was the beginning of a year-long, trans-Atlantic session swap that spawned their debut album, Dirty Bomb (KMFDM Records, 2006).

Sascha Konietzko
Born in Hamburg, West Germany is the founder of the band KMFDM. Spawned in 1984, KMFDM pioneered the crossover between techno/dance and heavy metal with their signature industrial sound. Having relocated to Chicago in the early 90's, KMFDM was the pride of Wax Trax! Records when the label was at its peak. Rapidly evolving year by year through intense experimentation and touring, the band has redefined themselves with each new release. Over 22 years of non-stop effort toward KMFDM has somehow still afforded him the time to be involved in several other projects (MDFMK, Excessive Force, Schwein), as well as to make a name for himself as producer, remixer and publisher.

Dean Garcia
Born in Kentish Town, England. He is internationally recognized as one of the founding members of Curve and the musical mastermind responsible for the bands wall of sound production style. Dean wrote, co-produced, and recorded/engineered all of the music for Curve's seven albums. In addition to Curve, Dean was also a member of Eurythmics from 81-83, playing bass on their albums Touch and Be Yourself Tonight, worked with Mick Jagger, Ian Dury, Sinead O' Connor and has been part of many extensive world tours. Dean has also done Production mixes for The Cure, Saffron Sprackling, Paul Van Dyke, Indochine, Mekano Set and Jeff Beck.

Lucia Cifarelli
Born in New York, she was the co-founding member, lead vocalist and writer of Drill, the dark alternative rock band that came to life in the late nineties. Signed to A&M Records, Drill garnered critical acclaim with their song "What You Are" which was featured on the Empire Records movie soundtrack. Drill toured extensively opening and headlining across the globe alongside Marilyn Manson, Gang Of Four, MC5, Stabbing Westward, God Lives Underwater, 7 Mary 3, Sister Machine Gun and numerous others. After Drill disbanded, Lucia joined MDFMK, the side project of KMFDM mastermind Sascha Konietzko. Along with Sascha and Tim Skold, MDFMK toured the US and Japan and was acclaimed for their futuristic sound, anime style and most notably their custom-made, 600 pound, 9 ft. tall terminator-style, guitar playing robot. When Sascha decided to reform KMFDM he invited Lucia on board to collaborate and she hasn't looked back since. Inbetween recording and touring with KMFDM, Lucia also recorded her debut solo album "From The Land Of Volcanos" with Ian Stanley (Tears For Fears) producing.
